Description
Radiographer (MRI & CT) | Casual | Glen Waverley
Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre is a multi-disciplinary specialist hospital supporting referring veterinarians across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
We offer a genuinely collaborative team environment with access to multiple specialty services and a varied caseload.
And importantly - culture matters here.
We work hard, but we also make sure we enjoy where we work. Expect a supportive team, plenty of humour, and people who actually like working together. We’re looking for someone who not only has the skills but is also a great fit for our team.
Looking for something a little different?
If you’re an experienced radiographer keen to step into the world of veterinary imaging, this could be a great fit. No prior veterinary experience required - just strong technical skills and an interest in learning something new.
We’re looking for a radiographer to join our imaging team at MVSC on a casual basis, supporting our High Field MRI and 64-slice CT service.
What’s on offer
• Casual role
• Work with High Field MRI and 64-slice CT
• No veterinary experience required
• Supportive, collaborative team environment
• Glen Waverley location
• Interesting and varied case load (you’ll definitely see things you haven’t seen before!)
About the role
This is a hands-on imaging role within a specialist veterinary hospital.
You’ll work alongside our specialist team and experienced nurses to perform advanced diagnostic imaging for a wide range of cases. Don’t worry if you’ve never scanned an animal before — we’ll support you in learning the differences.
You’ll be involved in:
• Operating High Field MRI and CT equipment
• Patient positioning and scan acquisition
• Working closely with specialists and nursing staff
• Maintaining imaging quality and safety standards
About you
• Qualified radiographer with solid clinical experience
• Confident working independently in an imaging environment
• Interest in expanding your skills into veterinary imaging
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Positive, adaptable, and team-focused
• Open to learning (and doing things a little differently!)
All applicants must have the right to work in Australia. Applications must include a cover letter addressing the key requirements.
