About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Tutor Quantity Surveying to deliver high-quality teaching, coaching, assessment and learner support for apprentices undertaking the Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Level 4 and/or Construction Site Supervisor Level 4 apprenticeship standards. The successful candidate will support apprentices throughout their learning journey from onboarding through to Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA) ensuring they develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to successfully complete their apprenticeship. This is a varied role combining teaching, coaching, assessment, learner support and employer engagement, with delivery taking place primarily online alongside regular employer visits where required. Key Responsibilities Learner Development • Manage a caseload of apprentices throughout their apprenticeship. • Act as the main point of contact for learners, employers and workplace mentors. • Deliver engaging teaching, coaching and learning activities. • Conduct regular one-to-one reviews, progress meetings and teaching sessions. • Deliver high-quality online and blended learning across Construction and Quantity Surveying programmes. • Assess learner work in line with awarding organisation and apprenticeship requirements. • Employer Engagement • Support employers in understanding apprenticeship requirements and their responsibilities. • Provide regular updates on learner progress, attendance and achievement. • Work collaboratively with employers to address performance concerns and remove barriers to learning. Compliance & Quality • Maintain accurate learner records in line with funding and compliance requirements. • Ensure off-the-job training is effectively planned, recorded and evidenced. • Comply with apprenticeship funding rules, quality standards and internal policies. Professional Responsibilities • Maintain current knowledge of apprenticeship standards, industry developments and funding requirements. • Participate in continuous professional development. • Attend team meetings and standardisation activities. • Support curriculum development and wider organisational objectives. • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role. Person Specification Essential • Experience delivering or assessing Construction and/or Quantity Surveying qualifications. • Industry experience within Quantity Surveying or Construction. • Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and learner development. • Experience managing learner caseloads and supporting achievement. • Excellent communication, coaching and organisational skills. • Ability to deliver engaging online learning. • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. Desirable • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training or equivalent). • Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1 or equivalent). • IQA qualification.
