Application deadline: 14/10/2022 We are looking for a new colleague with strong quantitative analytical skills and experience. You will support project work with stages that rely on data science and econometrics. Throughout a typical project cycle, there will be components essential for providing an efficient and high-quality solution for our clients. From the outset, you will be involved in everything from data collection, data management, model development and estimations, to the final communication of results and conclusions. In our work, we emphasise the use of relevant economic theory and arguments, combined with the analytic tools and data to back them up. We are looking for a person who can support this process. Our toolbox includes various econometrical methods and a range of economic models, and you could find yourself contributing to the use and development of our climate economic model, for example. As part of Copenhagen Economics, you will work with some of the best economists in Europe. Through formal training and individual coaching, we will help you grow your competencies within project work, relationship building and leadership. You will be based in one of our offices in either Brussels, Copenhagen, Helsinki, or Stockholm. Most of the team is currently based in Copenhagen. Who are you? You possess personal drive, business orientation and integrity. You take pride in delivering high-quality advice to our clients, within the agreed deadline and budget. You have a strong interest in applying quantitative methods to real-world economic problems. Our ideal colleague has: • Strong, relevant academic background e.g., M.Sc. in Economics • In-depth knowledge of quantitative methods with the ability to conduct estimations in R or Stata. • In-depth knowledge of data handling, database construction, and text extractions via e.g., Python and R • Excellent communication skills, including a high level of English proficiency • Experience with general equilibrium modelling (for example CGE modelling) and GAMS is considered a plus.
