Quality Manager (Audit-Focused, Food Industry) Overview We are seeking a Quality Manager with a sharp focus on internal audit preparation and execution . This role is part of an established and well-functioning quality team. The successful candidate will take the lead on managing BRC/IFS audits, supplier audits, and internal quality system checks. Key Responsibilities • Lead site preparation and execution for all third-party and regulatory audits (e.g., BRC, customer audits, DAFM) • Maintain and update the site’s QMS documentation in line with audit requirements • Conduct internal audits and support the wider team on non-conformance investigations • Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure audit readiness is embedded in daily operations • Work with the existing Quality Manager to strengthen the audit side of the function • Track and report on audit findings, CAPAs, and continuous improvement opportunities Ideal Background • Experience in the food manufacturing or food processing industry • Strong audit background — ideally with recent hands-on experience leading BRC or equivalent audits • Proficient in HACCP, traceability, and food safety systems • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills • Collaborative and capable of working within a small but busy QA team • A relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Safety, or similar is desirable Both experienced Quality Managers and strong Quality Technicians with hands-on audit exposure will be considered.
