To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector (m/f/d) with a focus on Source Inspection for the aerospace sector. In this role, you will conduct supplier inspections across Europe, focusing on cabin, structural, and mechanical components.

Quality Inspector (m/f/d) Source Inspection - Aerospace
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supplier Inspections (Source Inspection): Perform detailed inspections of aerospace components and materials directly at European suppliers to ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Documentation Review: Check and evaluate supplier documents such as inspection reports, material certificates, and conformity statements according to aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, EN9100)
Inspection Methods: Apply visual, dimensional, and functional testing methods using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges). Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (e.g., ultrasonic, eddy current) is a plus
Supplier Communication Audits: Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met and participate in audits and assessments to verify compliance with internal and international aerospace standards (e.g., EASA, FAA, FAI)
Reporting Documentation: Prepare accurate inspection reports, document deviations, corrective actions, and compliance evidence
Product Lifecycle Support: Assist in evaluating new components regarding technical specifications, inspection requirements, and safety standards during the development phase
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in a technical or engineering field, ideally with a focus on aerospace or mechanical engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in aerospace or industrial manufacturing, ideally with a focus on Source Inspection and supplier quality
Strong knowledge of common quality standards (AS9100, EN9100, ISO 9001)
Confident handling of measuring and testing equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and product specifications
Understanding of European aerospace regulations and certification requirements (e.g., EASA)
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or equivalent certification, and/or approval as inspector by an aerospace OEM is desirable
Basic training in AS/EN 9100 standards and Human Factors is a plus
Additional qualifications in NDT (e.g., ultrasonic, eddy current) are an advantage
High willingness to travel across Europe is mandatory
Fluent German and/or English, both written and spoken; additional European languages (e.g., French, Spanish) are a plus
