Overview
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Q&FS Trainee to join our team at the Carregado plant in Portugal. In this role, you will support the Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) department in ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations, while contributing to continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic FMCG environment and develop your career in food safety and quality management.
Responsibilities
• Support daily activities related to food safety and quality within the plant
• Assist in updating and maintaining documentation in line with FSSC 22000 and other relevant standards
• Contribute to the digitalization and tracking of Q&FS KPIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs and ensure Q&FS compliance
• Participate in Q&FS culture and engagement initiatives
• Support learning and development processes, with a focus on simplification and efficiency
• Assist in the execution of Q&FS strategies and continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
• Degree in Food Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of Q&FS standards (IFS, BRC, FSSC 22000, Food Fraud, Food Defense) is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Excel and digital tools
• Proactive attitude with eagerness to learn and grow
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
• Team player with a collaborative mindset
