Prominent Pharmaceuticals Company JOB ID: MNKJP00000999 JOB TITLE: Quality Control Lab Technician CLIENT: A prominent Pharmaceuticals Company CONTRACT: 9 months initial contract (04/24/2017 to 01/23/2018) LOCATION: Greenville Illinois USA Required to work 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday with the potential for night, weekend, and holiday work depending on lab need. *There’s only one shift (typically M-F, 8-5) but they may have to work weekends or evenings at times. Bachelors Degree in science related field (Chemistry, Biology) is preferred. Associates Degree with equivalent combination of Education, Experience, and Competencies accepted. This person will be responsible for the testing of Heavy Metals, Residue on Ignition, Stearic Acid, Appearance, Odor, Particle Size, and Moisture. Depending on the laboratory area, will perform analysis on Raw Materials, Finished Product, or Stability samples using established analytical methods. Experience in a CGMP facility preferred and needs to be able to multi-task. 80% Laboratory exposure to plant products, solvents and reagents, some of which are hazardous 20% Office environment Since it’s a lab position, there’s a wide range of materials from finished product to reagents. Hazardous materials would include sulfurous acid, methanol, acetonitrile, several acids, hydrogen sulfide, etc. We provide lab coat, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes. Any hazardous testing would be performed in a hood. No physical required. No incidents or OSHA violations in the lab. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
