Description
The QC Lab Technician assists the Badger Mission and Principles as a member of the Quality team by performing incoming raw material sampling, testing, documentation, and investigating incoming ingredients, finished goods, and new products in a timely manner. This role operates independently but will partner with the Quality Control Supervisor for oversite and direction, to ensure that the Quality Control laboratory meets regulatory and internal standards.     Essential Responsibilities:   QC Lab and Incoming Material Sampling:  Follow good document practices, good laboratory practices, and good manufacturing practices.  Perform testing according to set protocols for:  Incoming ingredients  In-process samples and finished goods as required  Stability samples as scheduled  Compressed air and environmental monitoring as scheduled  Cleaning validation and investigation swabbing as scheduled  New products under development by RDI  Perform and document onsite equipment calibrations of in-house equipment, daily, weekly, monthly.  Follow procedures for investigation of deviations non-conforming results, or out-of-specifications.  Reviewer of documents in ETQ related to QC testing.  Perform sampling and inspection of incoming raw materials, packaging, and componentry for onsite and offsite warehouses.  Quality Assurance Support Activities:  Process Validation Monitoring  Monitor process validation activities as scheduled or requested  Ensure required data is collected accurately and completely  Verify adherence to validation protocols  Conduct ANSI sampling or 100% inspections upon request to assist:  Deviations  Containment activities  High-risk production scenarios  Other Responsibilities:  Ensure all safety standards and protocols are followed and make recommendations to help streamline processes.  Other duties as assigned.  Must be able to accommodate last-minute schedule adjustments, including requests to begin work as early as 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. when requested.  Must demonstrate flexibility with short notice scheduling changes, particularly in response to team absences or operational needs.  Must be available to begin work at 6:00 a.m. for planned vacation coverage or other pre-scheduled needs.  Participation in a rotating Saturday schedule is required, as assigned and based on operational demands. Fully onsite with occasional weekend work required.    Starting pay $22.00 an hour; salary is commensurate to experience.
