Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician Job Description The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) within an automotive manufacturing environment. This position ensures compliance with applicable certification standards, supports accurate documentation and reporting of quality-related activities, and promotes clear communication across departments and with customers regarding quality performance, requirements, and product acceptance. Responsibilities • Understand, advocate, and help maintain the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure performance and compliance with applicable certification standards. • Provide clear, concise communication between departments, staff, and customers regarding quality performance, requirements, product acceptance, and related documentation. • Establish, record, and maintain accurate documentation when quality problems arise, ensuring that all facts are captured and corrective actions are clearly documented. • Take immediate steps to correct documentation issues and, where possible, sort or contain stock appropriately to prevent nonconforming product from progressing. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of experience as a Quality Assurance Technician in a manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience with root cause analysis for identifying and resolving quality issues. • Practical experience with corrective actions, including planning, implementation, and follow-up. • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management system standards. This is a straight afternoon shift Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WATERLOO, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
