About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is currently recruiting 2 experienced Qualified Social Workers to join the Child Protection & Court Team at Cheshire West & Chester Council .
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a forward-thinking local authority that is transforming Children's Services through the Families First Partnership Programme . You'll be part of a trauma-informed, systemic service that brings together locality-based family help teams, safeguarding teams, and Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams (MACPT) to deliver outstanding outcomes for children, young people, and families.
The council offers hybrid working , with part-time and condensed hours also considered, providing excellent flexibility alongside a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a varied caseload of children and families requiring Child Protection intervention.
• Undertake Child Protection investigations, assessments, and statutory visits.
• Prepare high-quality court reports and provide evidence in care proceedings.
• Develop and implement child-focused care plans to safeguard vulnerable children.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
• Undertake risk assessments and make informed decisions in complex safeguarding situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely case recordings in line with statutory and local authority requirements.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and continuous professional development.
Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience within Child Protection.
• Extensive Court Work experience.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and make sound professional judgements.
• Excellent assessment, report writing, and communication skills.
