Job DescriptionJob PurposeIntercontinental Exchange (ICE) is a US-based financial technology company that builds and maintains sophisticated option pricing and risk management software used daily by commodity traders, brokers, and risk managers. This position is based in Hyderabad, India, as part of an established team of QA professionals supporting ICEs global platform, and reports to a local QA Manager in Hyderabad.As a QA Analyst, you will be embedded across the full software development lifecycle, with ownership of test strategy spanning client- and server-side components, APIs, and system integrations. You will collaborate closely with quantitative analysts, developers, and product owners in a fast-paced environment in which software quality carries real-world consequences. The role is well suited to a candidate who demonstrates strong ownership, applies critical thinking to complex financial systems, and brings both analytical rigor and sound testing judgment to every release.ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans for new and existing features based on business and functional requirements.Report and manage defects and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle.Apply options and risk management domain knowledge to design and execute analytically meaningful test cases.Review and analyze client- and server-side log files during testing to validate expected system behavior, confirm test coverage, and provide evidence that functionality performs as designed.Own QA activities throughout software releases, including post-release troubleshooting and Level 2 support.Partner with development, quantitative analysis, and customer support teams to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues.Leverage AI tools to accelerate test case generation, defect triage, documentation, and data analysis.Knowledge And Experience5 years of QA experience.Clear, professional communication and strong attention to detail across test documentation, defect reports, and cross-team correspondence.Strong analytical skills.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, concise reports, tickets, and testing documentation.Working knowledge of options concepts (calls/puts, Greeks, implied volatility), or a genuine commitment to developing it.Familiarity with the FIX protocol, including the ability to read and interpret FIX messages to validate fills, order flow, and execution reports.Strong SQL skills, with the ability to independently write queries to inspect and validate data.Experience with JIRA and Confluence, and with API testing tools such as Postman or equivalent.Hands-on experience applying AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) within QA workflows.Preferred Knowledge And ExperienceExperience testing financial, trading, or market data platforms.Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).What We OfferThe opportunity to work on high-impact financial technology used by professional traders and risk managers.A collaborative environment alongside experienced quantitative analysts, developers, and product owners.The opportunity to deepen your expertise in options theory, derivatives markets, and financial analytics.
