Procurement Manager Role: Procurement Manager Location: Duleek, Co. Meath Company Type: Modular Construction & Main Contractor Salary: Negotiable DOE + Benefits Package Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Overview BSS is recruiting a Procurement Manager on behalf of a leading Irish construction and modular building contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to establish, develop, and lead the procurement function within a growing organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, plant, and specialist supplies across multiple projects while ensuring best value, cost control, supplier performance, and compliance with company procedures and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities • Lead and develop the companys procurement function and purchasing processes. • Procure materials, plant, and equipment in line with project budgets and procurement schedules. • Work closely with Quantity Surveying and Finance teams to manage costs and maximise value. • Carry out monthly stock valuations and provide accurate reporting to the commercial team. • Support the preparation of monthly cost and procurement reports. • Maintain procurement records, pricing schedules, and supplier databases. • Manage procurement programmes and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites. • Negotiate favourable commercial terms, pricing agreements, and supplier contracts. • Secure fixed pricing arrangements where possible to minimise project cost risk. • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and key stakeholders. • Monitor market conditions and material price trends to ensure competitive purchasing. • Manage supplier credit facilities and payment arrangements. • Coordinate specialist material procurement alongside project Quantity Surveyors. • Obtain Declarations of Performance (DoP) and supporting documentation to ensure BCAR compliance. • Raise and manage purchase orders in accordance with company procedures. • Maintain and manage the company asset register. • Identify opportunities for procurement efficiencies, cost savings, and process improvements. Requirements • Minimum 5 years experience within procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management in the Irish construction industry. • Experience working within residential, commercial, or modular construction environments. • Qualification in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline. • CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent procurement qualification desirable. • Strong understanding of construction materials, plant, and procurement processes. • Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills. • Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. • Excellent organisational and planning skills. • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
