Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Job Type: Contract - Remote - work from home Role Context The Psychology Quality Assurance Lead will oversee the reliability and safety of psychology-related content used to train and evaluate advanced artificial intelligence systems. Assignments may include reviewing psychological explanations, research summaries, behavioral guidance, theory applications, assessment discussions, mental-health education, and responses involving sensitive or crisis-related topics. The successful candidate will identify unsupported claims, pseudoscience, flawed study interpretation, stigmatizing language, overdiagnosis, inappropriate therapeutic recommendations, weak diagnostic caution, and unsafe mental-health advice. The role also includes contributor coaching, onboarding, calibration, quality documentation, and continuous improvement of scalable psychology review workflows. Key Responsibilities * Review psychology AI training items against detailed project rubrics and documented quality standards. * Evaluate psychological accuracy, theory application, research literacy, ethical awareness, clarity, formatting, and instruction compliance. * Assess content involving cognitive, social, developmental, personality, behavioral, and abnormal psychology. * Review mental-health explanations, behavioral guidance, research summaries, assessment discussions, and theory-based interpretations. * Identify unsupported psychological claims, flawed reasoning, pseudoscientific concepts, and misleading generalizations. * Flag content that overdiagnoses, labels individuals inappropriately, or presents uncertain conclusions as established facts. * Evaluate whether diagnostic language is cautious, evidence-based, and appropriate to the available information. * Review behavioral and therapeutic recommendations for safety, scope, and professional limitations. * Assess content involving cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed communication, behavioral interventions, and mental-health literacy. * Identify stigmatizing, dismissive, judgmental, or culturally insensitive language. * Check whether crisis-related responses recognize urgency, avoid unsafe advice, and encourage appropriate professional or emergency support. * Evaluate research summaries for correct interpretation of methods, samples, findings, limitations, and statistical evidence. * Distinguish correlation from causation and identify unsupported causal conclusions. * Review psychological terminology, diagnostic concepts, ethical boundaries, and evidence quality for accuracy. * Spot-check work completed by researchers, clinicians, educators, trainers, annotators, reviewers, and QA contributors. * Provide precise written feedback explaining each issue and the corrective action required. * Escalate recurring, critical, safety-sensitive, or ethically problematic quality concerns. * Communicate updated guidelines, project changes, and psychology-specific review expectations through Discord. * Respond to contributor questions involving psychological concepts, evidence quality, ethics, safety, diagnostic caution, and rubric interpretation. * Contact inactive trainers and QAs, encourage participation, record follow-ups, and report availability concerns. * Create and maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, quality notes, examples, honeypots, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials. * Conduct remote onboarding and training sessions for psychology trainers and reviewers. * Ensure contributors apply evolving psychology review standards consistently. * Analyze recurring quality gaps and recommend practical improvements to review workflows. * Maintain accurate records of evaluations, contributor feedback, performance patterns, and corrective actions. Ideal Profile * Bachelor 's, Master 's, PhD, PsyD, or equivalent professional background in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Science, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Social Work, Education, or a closely related field. * Minimum 3 years of experience in psychology research, clinical or counseling settings, behavioral science, teaching, academic writing, assessment, or mental-health content review. * Strong English communication skills for interpreting detailed guidelines and delivering clear written feedback. * Thorough understanding of psychological theories, research methods, ethics, and evidence-based practice. * Strong knowledge of cognitive, social, developmental, personality, behavioral, and abnormal psychology. * Ability to identify overdiagnosis, unsafe advice, pseudoscience, unsupported claims, and inappropriate therapeutic recommendations. * Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed communication, personality theory, behavioral interventions, and mental-health literacy is preferred. * Understanding of diagnostic caution, crisis sensitivity, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and responsible mental-health communication. * Ability to review research design, statistical claims, study limitations, and evidence quality accurately. * Experience leading or supporting researchers, clinicians, educators, reviewers, annotators, or QA teams is strongly preferred. * Excellent attention to psychological terminology, ethical implications, safety risks, and interpretive nuance. * Confidence using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems. * Experience developing style guides, calibration tasks, onboarding resources, FAQs, and quality documentation is beneficial. * Familiarity with AI training, data annotation, large language model evaluation, psychology QA, mental-health content review, or rubric-based assessment is advantageous. * Availability to complete an AI interview, a domain-specific task, and a recruiter interview. * Comfortable working independently within a fast-moving remote environment.
