Convention of States Action - Prospect Research Analyst Volunteer Prospect Research Analyst Volunteer Prospect Research Analyst Volunteer Fully Remote Description The Prospect Research Analyst Volunteer is a member of the Development team (internally known as the External Relations team) responsible for identifying, researching, and managing donor prospects while ensuring accurate data entry. This volunteer role involves compiling and analyzing data to assist the External Relations team in identifying potential donors and new prospects, while maintaining proper accounting of donation information. This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.This role reports to the Senior Vice President of External Relations. Requirements Responsibilities • Researches the contact information, biographical information, and political giving history of potential new donors and existing donors. • Completes one-off research tasks as assigned. • Adds new profile accounts for prospects/potential donors into Salesforce. • Performs weekly audit of check deposits for accuracy and correct accounting between COSF and COSA. • Other related duties, as assigned. Skills and Experience • Strong research and analytical skills. • Experience with databases and DMS systems (Salesforce preferred). • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and research tools like the FEC database, FollowTheMoney, FreePeopleSearch, TruePeopleSearch, Spokeo.com, Melissa search, Hunter.io, Smarty.com, etc. (proficiency in all tools is not required) • Excellent written communication and report writing abilities.
