Our client, a highly regarded international law firm, is looking to appoint a talented Knowledge Lawyer to join its thriving Real Estate Disputes team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading property litigation specialists, shaping technical excellence across the practice while playing a key role in legal innovation, knowledge management and professional development. This position offers the opportunity to step away from fee-earning targets while remaining at the forefront of complex contentious property law, supporting lawyers and clients with expert technical guidance and developing best practice across the team. The Role As a Knowledge Lawyer within the Real Estate Disputes team, you will become the technical cornerstone of the practice, ensuring lawyers have access to the latest legal developments, practical guidance and high-quality precedents. Working closely with partners, fee earners and the wider Knowledge team, you will support the delivery of consistent, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of contentious property matters. Your responsibilities will include: • Providing technical support and guidance on complex real estate disputes and civil procedure issues. • Monitoring and analysing developments in legislation, case law and legal practice, translating these into practical guidance for the team. • Drafting, maintaining and developing precedents, standard documents, playbooks and knowledge resources. • Designing and delivering engaging training sessions for colleagues and clients. • Supporting the development of litigation strategies and best practice across key areas of contentious property law. • Producing client updates, legal briefings and thought leadership in collaboration with Business Development and Marketing teams. • Promoting innovation through the effective use of legal technology and AI tools to enhance knowledge sharing and operational efficiency. • Collaborating with the firm's wider Knowledge Lawyer network on strategic knowledge management initiatives. About You A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in Real Estate Disputes. Experience as a Knowledge Lawyer/Professional Support Lawyer, or a genuine interest in transitioning from a fee-earning role into knowledge management. Strong technical expertise across contentious property matters, including: Commercial lease renewals, Dilapidations, Break notices, Forfeiture and possession, Service charge disputes, Rent review disputes, Development disputes, Title, boundary and rights-related disputes, Property-related professional negligence and Building Safety Act matters The ability to interpret complex legal developments and communicate practical, commercial solutions. Experience preparing precedents, legal guidance, training materials or client updates. An interest in legal technology, AI and continuous improvement within legal services.
