Description
YOUR MISSION & CHALLENGES As a Proof of Concept Engineer, you'll be doing fast short-period projects for the Business Units of Mobile Robots & Mobile Manipulation. - Commission, test, and deploy mobile robotic systems in customer and demonstration environments. - Configure robot navigation, maps, routes, missions, safety zones, and application workflows to create reliable robotic solutions. - Develop and realize applications that combine mobile robots with robotic manipulators. - Validate and optimize navigation and robotics software in real-world environments. - Support product development teams during commissioning, testing, and field validation. - Work closely with software, AI, hardware, fleet management, and project teams to turn ideas into working robotic applications. - Create documentation and troubleshooting guides to support commissioning, quality assurance, and customer acceptance. - Support customers and internal stakeholders during deployments, training sessions, and technical investigations. WHAT WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO - A degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Software Engineering, or a comparable field. - 2+ years of relevant work experience in robotics, application engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. - A problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to travel for customer deployments, demonstrations, and trade fairs. - Practical experience with mobile robots, AMRs, AGVs, or mobile manipulators is a plus. - Experience in commissioning customer-ready robotics or automation applications. - Good knowledge of at least one of the following: Python, C++, TwinCAT PLC, or industrial automation tools. - Hands-on mindset and strong ability to solve complex problems independently and systematically. - Experience with VDA5050, navigation, PLC, or Fleet management is a plus. - Very good English skills - German Driving License
