Description
Your Role
• As a Project Manager within Supply Chain Management, you will lead strategic sourcing projects for assigned procurement scopes and serve as the primary interface between product development teams and suppliers.
• You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting on complex coating-related sourcing projects. In this role, you will manage the supplier interface within ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology (SMT), ensuring effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• You will coordinate project work packages, facilitate collaboration, and monitor tasks and milestones between suppliers and the SMT organization to ensure supplier readiness and reliable delivery for development projects.
• You will plan supplier-specific development activities required for each project and align these development requirements across the relevant internal teams and supplier organizations.
• You will provide functional leadership to cross-functional teams working with external partners across one or more sourcing projects. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Strategic Procurement.
• In addition, you will establish and manage internal and external stakeholder engagement and coordinate the operational execution of project activities.
Your Profile
• You have successfully completed a university degree in Surface Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Surface Engineering, or a comparable technical or scientific discipline. You also have substantial relevant professional experience.
• You have extensive project management expertise, ideally gained through complex sourcing or procurement projects and close collaboration with suppliers.
• You take a structured and methodical approach to your work and are committed to improving processes quickly and continuously.
• You are a strong communicator, are confident in driving decisions and achieving results, and are willing to travel both nationally and internationally.
• You have full professional proficiency in written and spoken German and English.
