Vacancy Status: This posting is for a new vacancy Hours of Work/Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35 Hours per week Annualized salary range : $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 commensurate on skills and experience, plus participation in HOOPP. Position Overview The Project Manager - Renewable Energy is responsible for leading the planning, evaluation, implementation, and successful delivery of the organization's solar photovoltaic (PV) installation project. The initial phase of the role focuses on preparing a comprehensive feasibility study and business case for presentation to the Board of Directors. The feasibility report will evaluate the financial, technical, operational, environmental, regulatory, and strategic implications of installing a solar PV system. Upon Board approval, the Project Manager will assume overall responsibility for project execution, including procurement, vendor management, permitting, construction oversight, commissioning, stakeholder communications, budget control, risk management, and transition to operational status. The Project Manager will ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements while supporting the organization's sustainability and operational efficiency objectives. Key Responsibilities Phase 1: Feasibility Assessment & Board Approval Business Case Development Lead the development of a comprehensive solar energy feasibility assessment. Analyze current electricity consumption patterns and future energy requirements. Evaluate technical feasibility of rooftop, carport, and ground-mounted solar options. Assess opportunities for battery storage, EV charging integration, and future expansion. Identify applicable grants, incentives, rebates, and financing opportunities. Financial Analysis Develop detailed financial models including: Capital costs Lifecycle costs Operating and maintenance costs Cash flow projections Payback period Net Present Value (NPV) Internal Rate of Return (IRR) Sensitivity analysis Risk Assessment Identify project risks including: Regulatory approvals Structural integrity requirements Vendor performance Technology risks Construction impacts Cost escalation Op
