Job Overview: The Project Manager (Recycling/Shipbuilding) will lead and oversee various projects related to ship recycling and shipbuilding in Malaysia. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of maritime operations and environmental regulations to ensure that projects are delivered successfully and sustainably. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Manage and coordinate all phases of ship recycling and building projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, regulatory bodies, and project teams to ensure streamlined communication and project alignment. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local and international environmental regulations regarding ship recycling and construction practices. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, oversee procurement processes, and manage project teams to achieve operational efficiency. Risk Management: Identify potential risks within projects and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks proactively. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of project progress, financials, and compliance, and prepare regular update reports for senior management. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the shipbuilding or ship recycling industry. Strong knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and industry standards. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working with multicultural teams and suppliers.
