Description
The University of Houston is hiring a Project Manager for Engagement Communications & Annual Giving. The role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering communication-related projects, managing project timelines, budgets, stakeholders, and producing status reports to support the university’s advancement and alumni engagement efforts. Highlights • Manages day-to-day operations of a university program or department, including supervising staff and overseeing expenditures. • Develops project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements for engagement communications and annual giving projects. • Defines project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics while monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed. • Serves as primary contact for project stakeholders and facilitates meetings, workshops, and status updates. • Prepares reports including project status and analyzes results to recommend improvements. • Requires proficiency in project management software and strong written and verbal communication skills. • Budget and administrative support experience along with leadership and team coordination skills preferred. • Familiarity with communication and marketing tools, and higher education or non-profit experience is preferred. • Education requirement: a related 4-year degree or equivalent specialized training; experience can substitute for education. • Position is full-time and security sensitive, requiring a criminal history check as part of the hiring process.
