Project Manager
We’re hiring a Project Manager to own end-to-end delivery—turning ambiguity into a concrete plan, aligning teams, and safeguarding scope, schedule, budget, and quality. You’ll challenge assumptions, surface risks early, and keep KPIs transparent to deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes.
Location: Portugal or EU based – fully remote
About the customer: Our client is a European-headquartered ERP and supply-chain software provider serving distribution-focused industries (e.g., wholesale, pharma, logistics). They operate internationally and are scaling cloud solutions and services, requiring rigorous governance, stakeholder alignment, and measurable delivery impact.
Responsibilities
• Clarify & Baseline Scope: Define and validate scope, goals, and deliverables with stakeholders; document the baseline.
• Integrated Project Plan: Build timelines, milestones, resources, and dependencies; pressure-test assumptions and constraints.
• Governance & Communication: Set communication cadence, reporting formats, decision rights, and escalation paths.
• Team Leadership & Roles: Assign responsibilities, coordinate cross-functional work, and facilitate timely decisions.
• Progress Control: Track execution against plan and KPIs; surface variances early and implement corrective actions.
• Resource & Budget Management: Allocate and reallocate personnel, budget, and materials based on priority and capacity.
• Quality Management: Establish acceptance criteria, QA processes, reviews, and quality gates to ensure outcomes meet standards.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; maintain a living risk/issue register with owners and due dates.
• Change Control: Evaluate scope changes for impact on time/cost/quality; approve through a structured change process.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Manage expectations, provide transparent status updates, and solicit actionable feedback.
• Project Closure: Evaluate success, capture lessons learned, finalize documentation, ensure complete handover, and recognize contributions.
• Continuous Improvement & Culture: Refine methods and processes iteratively; foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
• Leadership Responsibilities:
• Vision & Alignment: Define a clear project vision and measurable goals—and verify the team truly shares the same definition of success.
• Planning & Scheduling: Build realistic plans with milestones and timelines; pressure-test assumptions and keep delivery on track.
• Resources & Decisions: Allocate people, budget, and materials based on skills and availability; make informed priority calls when trade-offs arise.
• Team Leadership: Coordinate effectively (meetings, communication, conflict resolution) while motivating, recognizing wins, and sustaining a productive team culture.
• Risk & Quality Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks early; monitor progress and enforce quality standards through reviews and controls.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Improvement: Communicate progress transparently, capture feedback, and drive continuous process improvements to optimize outcomes.
Requirements & Skills
• Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a project manager, or similar role.− Knowledge of thephases of a project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure.
• Understanding of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• In-depth understanding of the ERP industry and ERP systems.
• Ability to effectively allocate and manage project resources such as personnel, budgets and equipment.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Ability to monitor and control project timelines.
