Description
Brief Overview
This role is working with a small, established and highly respected full-service marketing agency that is currently absolutely swamped with work! They’re looking for a Project Executive to work closely with the Project Manager, turning approved work into clear, organised and deliverable projects. The role manages day-to-day delivery, task flow, client delivery updates, feedback, amendments, and sign-off, so you really are a key cog in this machine.
The role
75% of your time will be dedicated to working with one very key account, a global b2b specialist, and you could be delivering anything from event support material, packaging, promotional material, digital, video, press ads – they’re generally about 25 jobs going at any given time, so you’ll definitely need to be organised! Whilst you’ll be supporting the account lead with this client, there will be an opportunity to project-manage some of the agency’s other accounts, which are all within the b2b spectrum.
You’ll be involved in project setup and administration, including setting up jobs in the agency management platform, generating job numbers, and ensuring all the important details of the brief are logged before work is scheduled. You’ll ensure the Account Lead is proactively informed on progress and will coordinate with external suppliers where necessary and with the Studio Manager. Keeping in contact with the client is going to be absolutely key, and you’ll build practical working relationships with them to support smooth delivery.
You’ll liaise with external printers, merchandise suppliers, event contractors and other external production partners, as well as coordinating with specialists where required, such as copywriters, SEO and PPC specialists, PR support and content creators, ensuring all supplier costs are managed.
What we’re looking for
We need someone who has some strong project management experience, ideally gained from an agency or a very busy marketing department. This role is purely involved with the project management of the creative briefs and won’t involve any direct implementation; however, it’s important that any candidates have a strong understanding of the full marketing mix. You’ll need to have some experience working with print (at least how to print 4 colours!), but it would be really useful if you had digital experience too, as there is less expertise within this area of the agency.
You must be organised, able to manage multiple live jobs across different work types, deadlines and contributors, and you’ll be comfortable coordinating designers, developers, content creators, SEO/PPC/PR specialists, as well as external suppliers.
It is essential you are confident managing client delivery updates and building relationships with clients, as well as being commercially aware enough to understand budgets, supplier costs, time tracking and profitability impact.
What’s on offer?
This role is fully office-based, 5 days per week, but there is a strong differentiation between work and home life, and they do not expect you to be working above and beyond your normal hours. There’s also a lot of opportunity to learn and develop in a small agency environment – you will get involved with everything here, which can only add to your skills and experience. There are lots of opportunities for learning and development as well. You’ll likely need to be able to drive – their offices are not within walking distance of a train station. Salary is up to £30,000.
