Role Overview:
The Execution Lead is the dedicated on-site manager responsible for overseeing the entire field execution lifecycle. This critical role ensures the technically correct installation, smooth commissioning, and successful handover of PLC/SCADA systems, industrial electrical works, and Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) installations . The position demands disciplined resource management across complex, multi-site environments, playing a key role in ensuring safety compliance, timely progress, and high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
A. PLC/SCADA & Automation Execution
• Supervise the installation, wiring, and termination of PLC/SCADA panels, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) , communication networks, and system hardware.
• Support and direct control teams during critical testing phases, including I/O checks, logic validation, interlock testing , and communication setup.
• Ensure the accuracy of field wiring, device addressing, and seamless system integration with sensors, actuators, MCC/VFDs, and ATG systems.
B. Electrical & MCC/VFD Works
• Oversee the installation of electrical panels, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) , power cables, grounding systems, and circuit protections.
• Lead pre-energization activities, including Insulation Resistance (IR) tests and continuity checks, to ensure electrical integrity and safety.
• Coordinate closely with electrical supervisors and technicians to ensure the proper and safe sequencing of all site activities.
C. ATG System Installation & Commissioning
• Supervise the field installation and configuration of ATG probes, sensors, consoles , communication modules, tank fittings, and related cabling.
• Lead all ATG testing, including probe calibration, alarm checks, level validation , and final integration with PLC/SCADA or Tank Management Systems (TMS).
• Ensure rigorous compliance with OEM installation guidelines and all necessary safety protocols for tank-related works.
D. Site Execution Management
• Plan, allocate, and supervise daily activities for diverse site teams, including internal technicians, fitters, electricians, and subcontractors.
• Ensure all works strictly comply with approved drawings, Method Statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) , and QA/QC requirements.
• Proactively monitor site progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and resolve technical and execution issues promptly to maintain schedule.
E. Resource Handling & Coordination
• Manage efficient manpower deployment and resource allocation across multiple work fronts/sites.
• Ensure the productivity, safety discipline, and performance of all site execution teams.
• Coordinate material handling, site logistics, and ensure the readiness of tools and equipment.
• Liaise effectively with engineering, procurement, OEMs, and customer representatives for unified execution.
F. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
• Lead the execution of all final system testing, including loop checks, functional testing, interlock validation , and network testing.
• Prepare, manage, and secure the closure of punch lists, test reports , and all necessary commissioning documentation.
• Support the final system handover and formal customer acceptance processes.
3. Required Qualifications & Experience
Category Requirement
Education Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience 5–10+ years of direct experience in automation, PLC/SCADA systems, industrial electrical execution, and ATG installations.
Industry Preference Direct field execution experience in oil & gas terminals, utilities, or industrial bulk handling automation.
4. Core Competencies
