Description
Shirley Parsons is partnering with one of the largest general contractors in the country looking to add a Project EHS Director to their team. This individual will be leading the safety efforts for a large expansion project. They will need to manage and mentor the project’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) team while ensuring consistent implementation of all EH&S policies and procedures.
The Role:
• Develop a project‑specific Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) strategy and operational roadmap that addresses high‑risk activities and includes defined, measurable KPIs and milestones.
• Supervise site EH&S functions and promote collaborative engagement among project teams to support informed safety decisions and improved performance.
• Ensure that standards are developed, aligned, and consistently applied in accordance with company policies, EH&S programs, and both project and client priorities.
• Convey the plan to project leaders and team members while engaging trade partners responsible for their scopes to support successful execution.
The Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or Occupational Health and Safety.
• Experience in multi billion dollar projects required. Aviation projects is a plus.
• A minimum of 10 years of safety experience within a construction environment, specifically with a general contractor, is required.
• Proven experience leading and supervising a safety team.
