Description
Date: Jul 25, 2026 Location: PUEBLA, MX Company: Tenneco At Tenneco, we don’t follow industry standards; we set them, and we don’t settle for being best-in-class because we hustle to be better than best-in-class. Whether it’s our Core Values – radical candor, simplify, organizational velocity, tenacious execution and win – or our Get Stuff Done (GSD) mindset, we’re determined to become the most trusted partner and best manufacturer and distributor to the transportation industry. With a product portfolio as expansive as it is innovative, an obsessive commitment to quality and excellence, and a global presence, we’re all about getting stuff done, so we can win. How do we make it happen? Through the Tenneco Way. Fueled by our Core Values, a winning mindset and a relentless commitment to excellence, the Tenneco Way is how we win. It’s what keeps Team Tenneco bold, driven, and unapologetically focused on pushing past limits and redefining success. Here, you’ll work alongside a team of relentless problem-solvers who are committed to making a tangible impact. If you’re ready to break boundaries, deliver results, and enjoy the ride along the way, you’ll thrive here. Want to learn more about who we are? Check out our website to discover the Tenneco Way ABOUT THE ROLE The Program Manager leads the implementation of the phase gate review process (Customer Product Development Process or CPD) for customer application projects, development projects, and other types of internal projects. The purpose is to ensure Tenneco Americas delivers its projects and programs in accordance with well-defined goals (performance, timing, and cost). The program manager must promote a disciplined approach to project management using Tenneco’s phase gated review process throughout the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Program Manager is responsible for personally managing large-scale programs and providing oversight for the portfolio of assigned projects. This includes coordinating or conducting Project Gate Reviews and offering “fresh eyes” input to all Gate Reviews within assigned projects. The manager ensures appropriate resource allocation for projects under their direct supervision and actively utilizes and advances Tenneco’s project management system. When projects are at risk, the Program Manager escalates their visibility and regularly summarizes project status for stakeholders. The role also involves direct interaction with customers and suppliers as needed, and close collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to foster team accountability across projects. To succeed, the Program Manager must possess a solid foundation in Project Management methodologies and the ability to plan and manage complex projects that cross multiple departmental lines. Strong problem-solving skills are essential, including proficiency with Tenneco PM Tools and other root cause analysis methods such as Fault Tree Analysis and Ishikawa Diagrams. Effective written and oral communication skills are required for engaging all levels of the organization, as well as customers and suppliers. The Program Manager should demonstrate a working knowledge of computers and software, with the ability to quickly learn new applications, and have thorough expertise in MS Project and Tenneco’s project management systems. Additionally, the role calls for the capability to train others in business processes and systems, attention to detail, goal-oriented and results-driven thinking, and the ability to excel in a team-oriented environment while providing support as requested by the supervisor.
