The Program Associate assists with administrative and programmatic tasks related to projects managed under the Large Project Management Unit (LPMU) of Markets and Food at World Wildlife Fund, including CMI 2.0, Codex Planetarius, Tapestry, and Markets Institute projects. The position supports the Markets and Food programme’s goals through conducting research and analysis, organising information and materials, drafting reports, proposals, and presentations, and assisting with project management, policy development, and analysis. It coordinates major activities for the programme, communicates with staff on ongoing activities, and administers and monitors budgets, contracts, and other assigned projects. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining detailed project schedules and status reports, gathering, organising, and analysing information from a variety of sources, and staying current on issues related to programme areas of focus. The associate supports and monitors the preparation of agreements for sub-grantees and consultants, ensures agreements and payments are processed in accordance with WWF policy, follows up on contract deliverables, and updates the project tracking database. The role writes case studies, policy briefs, research summaries, informational documents, and presentation materials, assists in donor communications and fundraising activities, oversees comprehensive financial administration including processing invoices and expense reports and managing account coding, provides budget preparation and variance analysis as the primary liaison with accounting, maintains logs and records, synthesises and prepares reports with tables and charts, and manages meeting logistics and notes. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus two years’ professional experience, or a minimum of four years of relevant experience, preferably with environmental or conservation science education. The role requires a detail-oriented and methodical approach, the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills, the ability to take initiative and complete work with minimal supervision, strong management of Microsoft Office software and online tools such as SharePoint, Box, and Airtable, and proficiency in Spanish and English with solid written and verbal skills (Portuguese desired).
