Description DUTIES Must be able to provide: -Transportation -Supervise medication protocols and policy. -Ongoing alcohol/drug testing of clients -Implement and reinforce program policies as continuous part of group and individual client interactions. -Intake, transition, and support of clients in medium and low intensity residential programs. -Document all interactions and services, as they occur, to team leaders and other relevant staff; participate in all staff discussions relevant to client care. ROLES/RESPONSIBILITES specific to this employee’s job description: -Breakfast preparation, serving and cleanup. -Fire/life/safety room checks during 11pm-7am shift -Substitute for other program assistant shifts when needed -Serve as support staff liaison with Case Management Supervisor regarding medication issues and perform relevant follow up regarding medication room management tasks -Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 9pm-9am Requirements -Supportive attitude toward individuals who are recovering from addictions and co-occurring disorders; an understanding of the underlying problems these individuals face during the recovery process; should continually increase as part of ongoing professional development -General knowledge of the bio-psychosocial effects of addiction/co-occurring disorder in the individual, family, and community; should continually increase as part of ongoing professional development -Have the ability to work in a team oriented program; coordinating client goals/needs and program operation responsibilities with all staff as a team -Valid Alabama Driver’s license. -High School Diploma or GED
