We are looking for a Professional Lines Claims Manager . This role can be based in the Alpharetta, GA or Chicago, IL , Allianz Commercial field offices. Your Team You will be working with a small but diverse team of claims professionals of various experience levels and backgrounds, in a collegial and supportive atmosphere that values individual strengths and encourages professional development and participation in industry leadership. The Impact You Will Have The Professional Lines Claims Team Manager leads a team of claims professionals responsible for managing complex Financial Lines claims, including Professional Liability, Agents E&O, Design E&O, and Employment Practices Liability. This role drives technical excellence, operational effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and talent development while ensuring claims are handled in accordance with Allianz standards, authority levels, and regulatory requirements. The position partners closely with brokers, clients, underwriting, and market leadership to deliver outstanding claim outcomes and support profitable business growth. Some of your specific responsibilities will include : • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Financial Lines Claims professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Oversee the handling of complex Financial Lines claims, ensuring compliance with Allianz standards, authority limits, and best practices. • Provide technical guidance and support on large, complex, and sensitive claims matters. • Drive strong reserving, investigation, and claims management practices across the team. • Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and implement solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes. • Partner with brokers, clients, underwriters, and internal stakeholders to strengthen relationships and enhance the customer experience. • Manage technical referrals and facilitate ongoing technical development within the team. • Oversee third-party vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service delivery. • Contribute to business retention, growth initiatives, and market-facing activities. What You’ll Bring to the Role Experience • 5 to 7 years of significant experience handling Financial Lines claims, including areas such as Professional Liability, E&O, D&O, or Employment Practices Liability. • Previous people leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams. • Experience managing complex, high-severity, or contentious claims. • Strong understanding of coverage analysis, claims investigation, reserving, and negotiation practices. Skills • Outstanding leadership and talent development capabilities. • Strong analytical and decision-making skills. • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. • Effective communication and presentation abilities. • Ability to collaborate across a global and matrixed organization. • Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. • Professional insurance designations such as CPCU, AIC, or similar are preferred. • Fluency in English required. The annualized base pay range for this role is $125,417 - $189,483. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package.
