Production Team Leader Night Shift Locations: Northampton, Northamptonshire Salary: £32000 - £40000 per annum Description Impact Recruitment are recruiting for a permanent Production Team Leader opportunity in Northampton for a client. We are looking for people with a strong capability of developing teams and tracking performances. You will be responsible for leading teams to ensure targets are achieved, whilst maintaining an efficient and safe working environment. You will need your own transport as our client are based in a rural location. Reports to: Production Manager Hours: This role starts with daytime hours 8.30am - 5pm and then transitions to night shift 10pm - 6am towards end of 2026. Pay: £32,000 - £35,000 + shift premium Job Purpose: • Lead the manufacturing and warehouse team to ensure safe, effective and efficient operation of the manufacturing and inbound warehouse facility • Develop and manage the team in an equitable, transparent, challenging and supportive manner with clear accountabilities and objectives in all areas • Engage and develop continuous improvement across all areas to improve the safety, quality, delivery, cost and people aspects of the facility • Demonstrate strong company values and communication with all stakeholders Tasks and Responsibilities: • Communicate to the Shift Managers any issues that may prevent the achievement of the production targets and corrective action. • Ensure all your team members are working safely, efficiently, and to company procedures through effective leadership and training. • Communicate, take feedback, and drive improvement through frequent and robust objective setting, leadership and transparency. • Set high standards and expectations in stock management, warehouse organisation, visual management, colleague behaviours, and attendance. • Ensure by your actions a collaborative, supportive and respectful approach to all elements of the operation. • Report and monitor performance using the business systems as required. • Highlight areas for continuous improvement from team members' and own ideas. • Liase with the other team leader to ensure smooth change over from shift to shift. Requirements: • Full UK driving license • Forklift License (desirable) • Adaptability and effective decision making • Able to use data to track and develop team member input • Calm and respectful under pressure • Ability to communicate clearly with your team and colleagues • Competent with computers • Commits to and achieves deadlines and objectives If you are interested in this opportunity then please apply with an up to date CV.
