What You’ll Be Doing L eadership & Team Development Lead and motivate a team of production operatives during the backshift Support team training, coaching and skills development Create a positive, collaborative and high‑performing team culture Production & Performance Management Oversee production operations to ensure all targets are achieved Maintain workflow efficiency, making adjustments where necessary Ensure product quality meets company and customer expectations Safety, Hygiene & Quality Assurance Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards Support quality control processes and escalate any issues promptly Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised work environment Problem‑Solving & Continuous Improvement Respond to operational challenges and find effective solutions Use production metrics and shift performance data to recommend improvements Work closely with management to drive best practice and efficiency Communication & Coordination Act as the link between production staff and management Keep clear, open communication across the shift team Support smooth handovers between shifts What We’re Looking For You’ll be a strong candidate if you have: Experience as a Production Team Leader , Line Leader , Shift Leader , or similar manufacturing leadership role Strong people‑management and communication skills Good understanding of production processes (food manufacturing experience preferred) Ability to problem‑solve and make sound decisions under pressure A proactive, organised and hands‑on approach Willingness to work regular backshift hours What We Offer £14.26 per hour Stable Monday–Friday backshift pattern Opportunities for progression and leadership development Supportive, family‑run working environment Free on‑site parking and staff facilities Be part of a company with a proud 75‑year heritage Ready to Lead Our Backshift Team? Requirements Experience as a team leader or supervisor in a production or manufacturing environment. Understanding of production processes, quality control measures, and safety regulations. Excellent communication skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.
