The company employs c.4,100 employees across North America (1,600 employees) and Europe (2,500 employees) Read more about our story at: www.iplschoeller.com The role In Shelbyville, KY, at IPLS, the Night Production Supervisor provides direct and indirect supervision of shift operators and a group of cells or machines to meet daily safety, quality, and production targets. The shift is a 2/2/3, 7 PM to 7:30 AM every other weekend. As a Night Production Supervisor at IPLS, you will: • Train and coach production line employees. • Ensures solid two-way communication amongst the team and with other management. • Oversee production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers. • Conduct daily shift meetings. • Responsible for meeting shift production goals. • Responsible for quality control and adjusting as necessary during shifts to ensure high-quality product. • Operate within defined procedures and Job Safety requirements. • Safe housekeeping standards are always maintained to ensure a clean and safe working area. • Responsible for providing a daily report to the oncoming supervisor. • Ensures that all production reports, purchase requisitions, and accident/incident reports are prepared on the correct forms and are properly completed. • Other duties as assigned. What you will bring to the role: • Train and coach production line employees. • Responsible for employee shift schedule to include workstation assignments/rotations, training, vacations, breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absences, and shift rotations. • Lead in the clean-up of manufacturing areas. • Ensures that direct report(s) are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the department responsibilities and goals can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. • Communicates regularly with all direct report(s), both individually and as a team (if applicable), to ensure good two-way communication concerning progress and other issues. • Complies with the Company’s Human Resources policies and procedures and promotes the awareness of and compliance with these policies. • Ability to exhibit sound judgment and response in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Clearly conveys information; ensures that others understand instructions and other information communicated. • Strong ability to problem-solve and evaluate priorities. • Safety and Quality Standard • Supervisory/Leadership Skills If you have the above experience and are looking for a role where you can make a real difference, apply today to find out more!
