Description
Tätigkeitsbeschreibung:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Production Scheduler (m/f) to join its Planning & Scheduling Assembly department based in Toulouse, France.
The Engine Pylon Assembly Unit at the Saint-Éloi plant is responsible for assembling all engine pylons across the entire Airbus aircraft fleet (covering all aircraft programmes).
The Production Planning department plays a central role within the unit. Its goal is to align all operational stakeholders (Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, Quality, Procurement) around a unified production objective that factors in equipment, material, and human resource constraints.
As part of a team of approximately 15 people, your primary role as a Production Scheduler will be to drive the production planning rhythm by consolidating progress updates from the various assembly lines on a weekly basis.
You will also support the assembly lines in establishing a realistic short-term production schedule that accounts for operational constraints. Additionally, you will compile performance summaries to provide clear visibility into the unit's overall performance, enabling management to make informed trade-offs and timely decisions.
Your working environment :
Global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, Toulouse is a dynamic city in the southwest of France served by an international airport. Ideally located between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean and close to the Pyrenees mountains, it offers plenty of options for outdoor activities !
How we care for you :
• Financial rewards : Attractive salary, agreements on success and profit sharing schemes, employee savings plan abounded by Airbus and employee stock purchase plan on a voluntary basis.
• Work / Life Balance : Extra days-off for special occasions, holiday transfer option, a Staff council offering many social, cultural and sport activities and other services.
• Wellbeing / Health : Complementary health insurance coverage (disability, invalidity, death). Depending on the site: health services center, concierge services, gym, carpooling application.
• Individual development : Great upskilling opportunities and development prospects with unlimited access to +10.000 e-learning courses to develop your employability, certifications, expert career path, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.
At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.
Your challenges :
• Participate in building and executing the production schedule by ensuring manufacturing orders are released on the scheduled date, and resolve any issues arising from the MRP requirements cascade.
• Develop the workload model: compile key data to monitor the workload/capacity alignment for resources and equipment across the unit's scope, enabling workforce mobility projections and investment forecasting.
• Support the development of long-term schedules established by the plant's central planning department, representing the vision and operational constraints of the Assembly Unit.
• Drive continuous improvement in production planning by supporting the rollout and sustainment of Airbus Industrial Excellence standards, while serving as the business/functional focal point for production coordinators on Methods & Tools.
Your boarding pass :
• Master’s degree (or Bac+4/5 equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
• Experience in production management, tracking, and control.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
• Knowledge of SAP system would be a plus / an asset.
• Keen interest in production with an appreciation for hands-on, shop-floor presence.
• Language skills: Negotiation-level French and advanced level in English.
• Strong communication skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• Proactive approach and ability to anticipate needs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
