Description
Purpose: The Production Planner is responsible for Parts Fabrication Department (PFD) production orders, production planning governance, ERP execution, and data integrity across manufacturing and subcontracting operations. The role translates demand into executable production orders, manages capacity and bottlenecks, and ensures all planning and execution activities comply with ERP controls and ISO procedures. The Production Planner works closely with Production Controllers, who provide shop-floor execution feedback, to ensure alignment between plan and execution. Key Area of Responsibilities: Production Order Planning & Release: Accountable for the planning, activation, and release of production, project, and RMA orders in accordance with MRP/PRP outputs and approved demand. Capacity, Bottleneck & Constraint Planning: Plan and manage capacity constraints across internal manufacturing and subcontracting resources to minimize bottlenecks and delivery risks. Material & Risk Visibility Management: Provide structured visibility of material readiness and production risks through visual management tools and cross‑functional material review forums. Involved in critical weekly meetings with Material Planner regarding material readiness. Change Governance Control: Execute engineering changes, NCR-related production actions, and planning adjustments within the ERP system in compliance with ISO procedures. ERP Data Integrity, Project Stock & Closure Management: Ensure accuracy, traceability, and closure of production, inventory, and project data through disciplined ERP governance and project reconciliation.
