Job Title: Production Operative Location: Basildon, Essex Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour Hours: • Monday – Thursday: 06:45 – 15:45 • Friday: 06:45 – 11:45 About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Production Operative to join our team in Basildon. This role involves carrying out a variety of mechanical and inspection tasks to support the smooth running of our client’s production processes. Key Responsibilities • Carrying out de-rusting and cleaning of mechanical parts • Conducting engine checks, fuel tank checks, and part inspections • Supporting general workshop activities and following set processes • Ensuring health & safety standards are always maintained • Working efficiently to meet deadlines and production targets What We’re Looking For • Previous experience in a production, workshop, or mechanical operative role is desirable • A mechanical background or relevant technical education is preferred • Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills • Hands-on approach and willingness to work in a physical environment • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong team ethic What We Offer • £12.21 per hour, paid weekly • Friendly and supportive team environment • Consistent day shifts with an early Friday finish • Opportunity to develop mechanical skills and grow within the business • Company pension scheme If you have a background in mechanics, production, or similar, and are looking for a stable hands-on role with great hours, we’d love to hear from you.
