Job Purpose
The Trade Product Specialist in Global Transaction Services will be responsible for managing the trade finance product suite and facilitating complex trade deals and transactions, with a focus on documentary trade. This role focuses on aligning products with client needs, managing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance, while fostering product innovation and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
• Product Strategy & Development: Develop and execute strategies for documentary trade product solutions (e.g. Letter of Credit, Bank Guarantee, Invoice Financing, etc).
• Product Management: Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, monitor performance (profitability, utilization, risk), and optimize pricing strategies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Sales, Relationship Managers, Risk, Credit, Legal, Operations, Sales, Technology) and external partners to support product delivery and client engagement.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure product compliance with regulations and internal risk policies, working with credit and risk teams on transaction structuring and portfolio monitoring.
• Commercialization: Drive product adoption and revenue growth across target client segments, supporting sales teams and gathering client feedback.
• Digital Innovation: Improve operational efficiency through process optimization and digital solutions, collaborating with technology teams on platform enhancements and automation.
• New Product Initiatives: Support the rollout of new Trade products and initiatives, including market research, NPA drafting, legal documentation, and tech specifications.
Requirements
• Strong knowledge and experience in trade finance, specifically with documentary trade products and solutions, with solid understanding of credit risk
• Proven experience in product development and lifecycle management within banking or financial services, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of international trade practices, regulations and compliance standards
• Familiarity with digital trade finance platforms in the market or fintech solutions, is advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and clients
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive approach to identifying client needs and delivering solutions.
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and present effectively across functions, with experience supporting sales and deal origination.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
