Job Overview
Are you passionate about fixed income and the technology that powers it? At Solactive, you will work across index calculation, data validation, and automation as part of our Fixed Income team. If you are analytical and technically curious, we'd love to hear from you.
Your Tasks
• Monitor and validate daily fixed income index calculations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Perform data checks and reconciliations across pricing, reference data, and instrument characteristics.
• Support periodic index rebalances in line with defined methodologies.
• Analyze corporate actions and assess their impact on index composition.
• Investigate data issues and work with Data and IT teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Help improve processes, controls, and automation for recurring tasks.
• Support enhancements and testing of index calculation systems.
• Assist with data analysis and respond to internal and client-related queries.
Your Profile
• Academic degree in mathematics, finance, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Passion for bond markets and fixed income products.
• Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail.
• Solid programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Interest in automation, data processing, and system optimization.
• Basic understanding of financial markets; exposure to fixed income or indexing is a plus.
• Independent, structured working style with strong problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Recruiting process

Screening Call
The screening / introduction round is focus on
assessment of a candidate's basic qualifications
and determine whether (s)he is a good fit for
the role and the company.

Meeting the team
The team round is focused on the candidate’s
subject-matter know-how and abilities. The
interviewer will ask questions specific to the
job and the candidate’s prior experience. The
candidate will be expected to provide specific
examples to demonstrate his/her subject- matter
knowledge.
• 3.
Task round
This one is an optional round, primarily
targeted towards technical roles such as
developers, that aims to filter out unfit
candidates based on their coding skills.
As part of the optional task round, the candidate
will be given a home task to solve within a specified
timeline, which they will need to complete and send
back to the hiring team for evaluation.
• 4.
Management talk
The management round is the opportunity for the
candidate to show qualifications and motivation
for the role, from a strategic company-fit point
of view.
