Description
AT A GLANCE
We're looking for a Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function, overseeing purchasing and vendor spend across all categories for the organization. Software and SaaS spend is a significant and fast-growing part of that portfolio, so hands-on experience negotiating software/SaaS and AI/ML agreements is essential to this role. You'll manage the negotiation strategy and lifecycle of software agreements, including SaaS, AI/ML tools, and enterprise platforms, as well as contracted labor, while coaching and developing a small team. The ideal candidate has direct experience negotiating software/SaaS contracts and experience managing or mentoring a team, and will partner closely with Business Operations, Technology, Legal, Security, and Compliance. This role is less focused on traditional materials-based supply chain management
Where You'll Be
To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on an in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our South Charlotte/Fort Mill office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.
1101 Red Ventures Dr Fort Mill, SC 29707
What You’ll Do
Software & Contract Negotiation
Own procurement operations for the organization, with software and contractor/services agreements as the largest and most active portion of the portfolio, including SaaS, AI/ML tools, and enterprise platforms, tracking renewals, utilization, and performance against contract terms, with a focus on cost minimization and spend optimization.
Evaluate software licensing models (per-seat, usage-based, consumption, enterprise agreements) to identify savings and reduce shelfware.
Oversee contracted labor sourcing and SOW management, ensuring statements of work are clearly scoped, priced appropriately, and aligned to business requirements before execution.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and service levels directly with suppliers; hold vendors accountable to contractual commitments.
Team Leadership
Manage, coach, and develop a small purchasing team, distributing workload and ensuring consistent execution of intake, sourcing, and contracting.
Set priorities and manage day-to-day team workflow using JIRA boards.
Systems & Cross-Functional Partnership
Serve as the team's primary user/purchasing contact for Oracle Fusion (procurement, POs, vendor records), Navan (T&E), Jira/Asana (renewals, intake, portfolio tracking), and FreshService (ticketing).
Partner with Business Operations, Technology/IT, Legal, and Security/Compliance across the contract lifecycle, from vendor evaluation through redlines, risk mitigation, and compliance sign-off.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or contract management experience, with strong emphasis on software/SaaS and contracted-services categories (rather than materials/goods procurement).
Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing software agreements, including AI/ML vendor contracts, with strong vendor management skills and strategies to control and optimize software spend.
Experience managing or mentoring a team.
Experience developing, reviewing, or managing SOWs for contracted labor/services vendors.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion (or a comparable ERP/procurement platform).
Experience managing or administering a T&E platform (Navan experience strongly preferred).
Comfort working with tools like Asana, FreshService, and JIRA for portfolio tracking, intake, and team workflow.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with proven experience working alongside Legal, Security, Compliance, Business Operations, and Technology teams.
Preferred:
Familiarity with software cost optimization techniques (license true-ups, usage audits, consolidation opportunities, negotiating multi-year vs. annual terms).
Experience standing up or improving intake and workf
