£58,000 - £65,000 + excellent benefits package Castlefield are currently working with a large Public Sector organisation to recruit a newly created Procurement Category Specialist role to join their team on a permanent basis. Duties will include: • Lead on sourcing strategies and advise procurement teams and stakeholders of the best route to market to meet their objectives • Provide advice to senior managers, holding a detailed understanding of EU and UK Procurement Law • Support the development and delivery of sourcing strategies, carry out tender and supplier contracting initiatives and use specialist analytical techniques and software to support the delivery of cash savings • Develop strong customer / stakeholder relationships to meet customer requirements • Manage pre-procurement activity, select suppliers to participate in Requests for Quotation and manage tender returns and evaluation The successful candidate will: • Previous Public Sector experience is essential • Experience of sourcing including tender process from initial scoping to contract award • Experience of E-tendering systems (Atamis would be ideal) but Bravo and Pro-contract also advantageous • Ability to draft documentation • Strong working knowledge of PA23 and previous experience of PCR2015 To apply for the position please use the link provided or contact Luis Covell via LinkedIn Thank you!
