Process Engineer We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join great team in an established family-owned business in Leeds. Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology. What’s the job: As Process Engineer you will be responsible with the optimisation and improvement of the industrial processes. Key Responsibilities • Time Studies for different operations on the shop floor • Create Routings for different product types or product families • Support Operations Planner with releasing Works Orders and ensuring all documentation has been uploaded correctly in MRP / SharePoint. • Work with Contracts, Quality and Engineering to ensure that the technical documentation is correct and updated when required • Ensure compliance with Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Requirements in all industrial activities • Continually review and update data input in MRP (logins on jobs, operation confirmations) • Conduct root cause analysis using problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, and FMEA. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and productivity. • Monitor process performance and recommend improvements. • Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions. • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions. Skills, Knowledge & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. • Over 2 years’ experience in process engineering in manufacturing environment • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. • Experience of working with transformers is desirable • Experience with process validation and statistical process control (SPC). • Excellent I.T. skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel • Experience working with ERP / MRP systems • Flexibility to adapt to change • Good attention to detail • Ability to work to strict timelines • Good interpersonal skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude Salary and benefits: • Salary negotiable dependant on experience • 37.5 hours per week, office based • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays • Company Profit Share Scheme • Healthcare scheme and Employee Assistance Programme • EV salary sacrifice scheme • Pension • Parking on site APPLY FOR THIS JOB
