Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) in Center Township, PA, is looking for a dedicated PRN Treatment Support Technician 2 to join our Adolescent Program team. Responsibilities • Facilitates discussion groups and activities. • Monitors patient behavior. • Conducts handbook orientation. • Conducts searches of patient belongings, rooms and person. • Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and patients. • Assists patients in completion of patient assessment forms. • Monitors patients' phone calls to families. • Assists with crises intervention. • A clean driving record which allows the ability to drive patients to and from appointments, support groups, activities or other travel as assigned. • Documents involvement with patients in progress notes. • Collects urine and completes paperwork for drug screening as necessary. • Provides post-discharge contacts/referrals under therapist direction. • Monitors medication taken by clients and documents accordingly, if applicable. • Works in the gift shop, if applicable. • Manages menu and nutrition needs if applicable. • Manages donation and patient requests, if applicable to the location. • Monitors smoke breaks in the hospital setting, if applicable. • Completes intake paperwork as needed. • Monitors clients’ ADLs - including chores, behaviors, and grooming issues. • Remains on duty until relieved. • Communicates information to the treatment team. • Transports patients to AA and NA meetings and elsewhere as needed. • Monitors patient treatment assignments. • Other duties as assigned. • Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of 12 step programs and/or other recovery support and/or addictions preferred. • Knowledge of adolescent behavior management and care preferred Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. • Valid driver's license and favorable driving record required. Additional Requirements • Pass a PA Criminal Background Check • Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting clearances. • Pass Drug Screen • TB Test • Obtain CPR/First Aid training is required. • This position requires mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to provide a safe treatment environment for Gateway residents. • Required to remain awake and alert while on duty. • If living a life of recovery, must attest to at least 18 months in recovery from substance use disorder.
