A prestigious UK accountancy and advisory firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join its growing team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. This is an exciting leadership role for an experienced private client specialist looking to step up and take ownership of high-value client work while mentoring others and contributing to the growth of a respected national tax practice. The Opportunity As part of a well-established Private Client team, the successful candidate will deliver bespoke advisory work and oversee complex compliance matters for a wide-ranging client base, including entrepreneurs, family business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and trusts. The role offers strong progression potential and the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners and Directors on complex tax planning projects. Key Responsibilities • Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, trusts, and estates across a range of sectors • Deliver high-quality tax advice on matters such as succession planning, inheritance tax, and capital gains • Review complex compliance work and ensure technical accuracy and efficiency • Support business development initiatives and assist with pitching for new work • Act as a mentor and coach to junior staff, contributing to team development and performance • Liaise with colleagues across other service lines to provide integrated solutions Candidate Profile • CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent experience) • Proven experience in private client tax within a practice environment • Strong technical knowledge across personal tax, trust taxation, estate planning, and capital taxes • Excellent interpersonal skills with a commercial and client-focused mindset • Prior experience managing junior staff and reviewing technical work What's on Offer • Competitive salary and performance-related bonus • 25+ days holiday, with options to buy or sell additional leave • Hybrid working policy and flexibility around core hours • Private medical cover, pension scheme, and wellbeing benefits • Clear progression pathway within a supportive, national firm To take your career forward with a highly respected team, send your CV to: [email protected]
