The Developer Productivity Programme equips thousands of government engineers with the platforms, tools, and practices they need to ship faster, more safely, and with greater confidence. This is a platform product role. The programme's product suite spans CI/CD, Managed Runtimes, AI tooling and enablement, as well as surfacing data, insights and productivity metrics to stakeholders. We serve close to 100 government agencies and thousands of developers, including vendors who build and maintain government systems.
A key part of the programme's direction is deepening AI usage for developers, from running experiments and building agentic workflows to ensuring the right security guardrails are in place for AI-assisted development at scale. We are seeking a Principal Product Manager who combines strong product leadership with a genuine understanding of developers and how they work. The best person for this role has a feel for what makes developer tools great, cares deeply about the developer experience, and can bring both strategic vision and practical credibility to the role.

You will also be expected to envision what comes next. This means identifying opportunities the programme has not yet addressed, staying close to where the developer landscape is heading, and working with the Product Managers to develop and execute on new product ideas.
Whole-of-Government Adoption and Stakeholder Engagement
You will drive adoption of developer productivity tools across the Whole of Government. Government agencies are at different stages of digital maturity and the approach must account for that, meeting agencies where they are while progressively raising the bar. You will work with counterparts from engineering, policy, security, and operations to unblock challenges in product rollouts, whether navigating policy constraints, meeting security and compliance requirements, or building the guardrails that allow teams to move forward.
AI Product Leadership
You will define how the programme's products evolve to support an A
