Principal Databricks Platform Engineer
A premium opportunity for a Principal Databricks Platform Engineer to join a business building a next-generation cloud data platform. You will take a lead role in designing and scaling a Databricks environment that supports mission-critical analytics and AI use cases at enterprise level.
This role will suit someone who combines technical authority with a hands-on approach.
What you will do
Define and enhance the core Databricks platform architecture
Drive engineering standards around performance, scalability, and security
Support deployment automation and environment optimisation
Partner with senior engineers, architects, and platform owners
Act as a technical reference point for the wider data engineering function
What we are looking for
Extensive experience with Databricks platform engineering
Strong knowledge of Spark, Python, SQL, and Delta Lake
Experience across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments
Strong background in enterprise-scale cloud data platforms
Ability to lead technically while remaining delivery-focused
