Position Purpose Through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) Professional Fellowship Program* , the Presentation Designer is a direct report of Senior Director, Creative & Content, and is responsible for designing compelling, polished, and strategically effective presentations that advance BBBSA’s mission. This role will partner with leaders across the organization to transform complex ideas, data, and narratives into visually engaging presentation materials for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, fundraising initiatives, strategic partnerships, conferences, and other high-profile audiences and events. The Presentation Designer will also help establish presentation design standards by developing scalable templates, reusable assets, and best practices that elevate the quality and consistency of presentations across the organization. *This position is aligned to BBBSA’s Professional Fellowship Program, an initiative that engages talented professionals in two (2)-year career opportunities. The candidate identified for this role will be a full-time, benefits eligible employee, fully immersed as a team member and accountable to all BBBSA employee policies and organizational practices. This position is funded for a period of two (2) years from the date of hire. Continuation of the position after two (2) years is based on business need for the role and continued funding. Location: Continental United States (100% Remote) FLSA Status: Full Time, Exempt Travel: 5% (Occasional team meetings, BBBSA's Annual In Person All staff Meeting and National Conference) Remote Work Location Requirement This position is approved for remote work within the Continental United States only. Any permanent change to the geographic location of an employee’s remote work arrangement from the region identified at the time of hire must be reviewed and approved in advance by both the employee’s direct manager and Human Resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Design, develop, and refine professional, on-brand presentation materials that communicate complex ideas with clarity, visual impact, and strategic storytelling. • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to create presentations for the National Board of Directors, fundraising efforts, strategic partnerships, conferences, donor engagement, and other high-impact opportunities. • Translate written content, data, and concepts into visually compelling slides that align with BBBSA’s brand standards and communication objectives. • Build and maintain a comprehensive presentation asset library, including branded PowerPoint templates, icons, charts, infographics, and other reusable elements, that enable staff across the organization to create consistent, professional-quality presentations. • Design custom graphics, illustrations, and visual assets using Adobe Creative Cloud apps for use in presentations and other communication materials. • Enhance audience engagement and visual storytelling by incorporating animation and transitions where appropriate. • Manage multiple presentation projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. • Stay informed on presentation design trends, storytelling techniques, and emerging tools to continuously improve quality and efficiency. • Manages related and other duties as assigned in support of department and business needs. Education, Skills & Related Work Experience • Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. • Years and Scope of Related Work Experience: 2-5 years of professional graphic design experience, with experience designing executive-level presentations, pitch decks, fundraising materials, or conference presentations preferred. Skills and Knowledge: • Experience creating and delivering presentations using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) • Portfolio demonstrating presentation design skills, including slide design, visual storytelling, and information hierarchy • Strong understanding of typography, color, layout, and data visualization principles • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines from concept through completion • Knowledge of accessibility best practices for presentation design • Experience creating animated presentations and assets using PowerPoint, Adobe After Effects, or similar motion design tools (preferred) • Experience designing presentations for executive leadership, Boards of Directors, fundraising, or investor audiences (preferred) • Experience developing presentation systems, templates, and scalable design libraries (preferred) • Experience creating custom icons, infographics, illustrations, or data visualizations (preferred) • Experience designing for live events, keynote presentations, or conference general sessions (preferred) Our Commitment At Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, we recognize, affirm, and celebrate the backgrounds, lives, and experiences of all of our stakeholders, including youth, families, donors, volunteers, and staff.
