What You'll Do • Develops and implements a comprehensive curriculum to promote learning and growth • Creates a safe, nurturing, and healthy learning environment • Supervises daily activities and ensures the well-being of children in their care • Supports diverse classrooms, roles, and age groups • Observes and assesses children's development to inform teaching practices • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with families and communicates effectively with them • Conducts regular parent/teacher conferences and sets developmentally appropriate expectations • Consistently exhibits a warm and supportive attitude towards children and adapts to changes in the program • Performs other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the program • Collaborates with colleagues to maintain a positive work environment Requirements • Able to consistently work on a set schedule from Monday – Friday, 8 hours plus 1 lunch hour, all year-round • Has a passion for working with children! • Has a positive attitude and reliable work ethic • Able to pass a background check • At least 18 years old • High School Diploma or GED • Has the physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations. • Positive role model • Registry of Wisconsin certificate or ability to become lead teacher certified is required (we provide all materials to reach lead teacher certification). • 15 hours of training in infant and toddler care for teachers assigned to this age group. Must be completed within 6 months after assuming the position. • Able to meet or exceed the qualifications for an Early Childhood Teacher • Communication skills • CPR/AED First Aid certified within the first 3 months • Able to develop and implement the school's curriculum to foster the love of learning • Lifts children and/or equipment • Bends, sits on the floor, and stands for extended periods of time Nice to Have • Meets or exceeds the qualifications for an Early Childhood Teacher • Has previous experience in the early childcare field • Infant and Toddler certified • CPR/First Aid, Abusive Head Trauma, and Child Abuse and Neglect and SIDS trainings completed • Pyramid model, WMLES, Strengthening families trainings completed • Lead certified Benefits • Supportive team environment with a focus on both professional and personal wellness • Constant classroom support • Family friendly environment with fun activities planned to engage the preschool community • Competitive wages with a well-rounded compensation package • 2 personal days and 3 sick days on your first year.
