Description Essential Job Functions • Support the Teacher in the execution of developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences with a variety of materials in the areas of religion, art, music, literacy, science, mathematics. • Assist in supervising activities which promote the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child consistent with Diocesan goals and objectives. • Provide and maintain a neat, safe, organized classroom; assists in taking responsibility for upkeep of all educational equipment and material. • Help children establish good habits of toileting and personal hygiene. Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Must be a practicing Catholic with a knowledge of Catholic prayers, holidays, and teachings. • Ability to organize and coordinate work with teacher. • Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff. • Ability to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth. Professionalism expected in attire, communication, and demeanor Hours Monday - Friday - 8 AM to 12:30 PM Qualifications Profile • Will be required to complete the Safe Environment requirements of the Rockford Diocese Virtus • Online program. • Will be required to complete CPR/First Aid training. Summary of Benefits Salary Description $15.00--$18.00
