Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Precast Setup Technician in Ballymena on a permanent basis with a rate of pay at £16 per hour along with additional staff benefits. The Client: • For over 45 years, our client grown to become one of the UK’s leading precast concrete manufacturers, delivering top-quality precast solutions to the Agricultural, Building, and Civil Engineering industries across Northern Ireland and beyond. The Job: The Precast Setup Technician will: • Produce high-quality precast concrete products in a fast-paced, dynamic environment! In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for setting up precast units, including moulds, reinforcement, lifters, timber, rebar cages, covers, and inserts, while ensuring top-notch concrete finishes. • Work to the daily production plan, preparing moulds, pouring concrete, and delivering all planned products efficiently, all while maintaining the highest health and safety standards. The Person: • NVQ Level 3 in Construction or similar qualification, or 3+ years’ experience in reading technical drawings and pour setups. • Strong communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative environment. • Proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and organised workspace. • Solid understanding of both written and spoken English. • Hands-on experience in construction or civil engineering projects. • Ability to confidently read and interpret technical and construction drawings.
