POSITION OVERVIEW We are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Senior Solutions & Application Engineer to drive the adoption of collaborative robots, AMRs, and mobile cobot solutions across Taiwan. This role supports key customers, partners, and system integrators throughout the entire automation journey - from opportunity identification and proof-of-concept to deployment, scale-up, and optimization. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with customer-facing consulting skills and will become the technical champion for Mobile Robotics solutions in Taiwan. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Sales & Solution Consulting • Support the sales team during customer engagements and technical discussions. • Conduct factory line walks, station assessments, workflow analysis, and automation application identification. • Define solution architecture for collaborative robot applications (UR), autonomous mobile robot applications (MiR), and mobile cobot solutions (UR + MiR). • Develop customer ROI and technical feasibility assessments. • Support proposal development and technical presentations. Application Development & Validation • Design and validate robotic applications including machine tending, assembly, material handling, packaging, palletizing, mobile manipulation, intralogistics automation, and end-of-line automation. • Configure cobot programs, workflows, safety concepts, and peripheral integrations. • Create demonstration applications and proof-of-concepts projects • Develop repeatable solution packages for strategic vertical markets in Taiwan. Deployment & Project Execution • Support deployment and commissioning of customer projects. • Perform system troubleshooting, tuning, and optimization. • Assist partners during pilot, commissioning, and production scale-up phases. • Ensure successful customer adoption and project handover. Mobile Cobot & Advanced Robotics Development • Serve as Taiwan technical lead for mobile cobot solutions combining UR and MiR. • Support fleet deployments, vision-guided robotics, AI-driven robotic applications, and industrial software integration. • Translate field requirements into scalable use cases and practical application packages. Partner Enablement • Train system integrators, OEMs, and distributors. • Conduct technical workshops and application training. • Support partner certification and capability development. • Work closely with the APAC Application Engineering organization. QUALIFICATIONS Required • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical discipline. • 3-5 years of experience in collaborative robotics, AMR/AGV, industrial automation, or robotics system integration. • Strong understanding of industrial automation architecture, PLC integration, industrial networking, robot safety, I/O, and sensor integration. • Hands-on mindset and willingness to work directly on production floors. Preferred • Experience with Universal Robots, MiR, Omron AMR, Geek+, ForwardX, AutoStore, Siemens Automation, Fanuc, ABB, or similar platforms. • Mobile cobot deployment experience. • Semiconductor, AI server, electronics manufacturing, or intralogistics project experience. • Knowledge of vision integration, MES/ERP/WMS integration, REST API, or programming/scripting. TRAVEL REQUIREMENT • Domestic travel within Taiwan: up to 40%. • Regional & Internation travel up to 10%. Relevant backgrounds may include Omron, Geek+, ForwardX, AutoStore, Siemens, ABB, Fanuc, Techman, or similar automation and robotics ecosystems.
