Description
Wanted: Prayer Captains for Teen Suicide Prevention and Seeds Wilderness Way We are looking for a few people with a heart for prayer to join our team as Prayer Captains . You will be the heartbeat of our weekly prayer ministry, helping us stand in the gap for those struggling with mental health and suicide. What You’ll Do • Lead Our Weekly Zoom: You’ll help host our one-hour weekly prayer meeting. You’ll handle the web tech (like setting up Zoom breakout rooms) and help guide the group through our prayer agenda. Note: This is administrative, not just the chief intercessor • Keep the Connection Going: Each week, you’ll send a short, 150–250 word "Prayer Digest" email to our list. This will include: • One quick story or update on the ministry. • A list of 3–4 specific things we are praying for that week (Rotating between kids, our logistics, our team, and our strategic initiatives). • A reminder for the upcoming Zoom meeting. • Be Our Tech Support: You’ll arrive 15–30 minutes early to start the Zoom room and make sure everyone is settled and ready to pray. A Typical Week Looks Like This (~2.5 hours total) • Administrative Time (30-45 mins): Send out the weekly email digest to our prayer list. • Including finding the Director for a short update • Meeting Day: Arrive 15–30 minutes early to prep the Zoom room. • The Hour of Prayer: Lead the team through our agenda: • 10 mins: Welcome & Devotion. • 45 mins: Small group prayer (in groups of 3). • 5 mins: Closing song or encouragement. Is This You? • You love to pray and believe in the power of intercession. • You are comfortable using Zoom (or willing to learn the basics!). • You are reliable and organized.
