Classification: Number Theory The Number Theory Group in Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) is offering two postdoctoral positions. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research in the area of analytic number theory in a broad sense (probably with connections to arithmetic geometry, combinatorics or harmonic analysis) working with Ping Xi. What we offer (1) Each position offered is for two years, hopefully starting from September 2022. (2) The basic annual salary is CNY¥160,000 (37.5% is provided by XJTU and 62.5% is provided by the Number Theory Group). (3) The excellent applicant will additionally receive up to CNY¥80,000 by the end of each year. (4) Financial support is provided by the Number Theory Group to cover the expenses during scientific researches. (5) Enjoy a wonderful life in Xi’an, a very ancient capital of China. Qualifications & Requirements (1) PhD in mathematics within 3 years, not beyond 32 years old (2) Some teaching duties are necessary (a graduate course with at least 32 hours) (3) By the end of the contract, a scientific report should be submitted.
